Blackbird’s Book Launch

February has been a bit of a whirlwind. Between briefs, meetings, sick kids, sick me and school visits there was also a launch for Blackbird, Blackbird, What Do You Do? The party was held at Blackwell’s children’s department in Edinburgh. The staff were lovely and lots of friends and family came – plus I got to make some new friends! I was very impressed with the birdy knowledge of my young audience, as was Pip. Here are a few photographs of the launch, thanks in advance to my friends and family (who do not know I have pinched some of their photos!!)

Pip is now out there and available to buy . I hope you enjoy the book as much as I enjoyed creating it!

Trailer for new book ‘There Was a Wee Lassie . . .’

Yesterday marked the publication date of ‘There Was a Wee Lassie Who Swallowed a Midgie’. Rebecca Colby held a launch for the book last night, in North Yorkshire, which sadly I missed due to moving house. However, everyone had a great time as Rebecca made yummy midgie-shaped biscuits and did a loch ness monster puppet workshop with the kids. Above is lovely little a trailer for the book, put together by Kirsten Graham at Floris Books. Naturally there are bagpipes!
