Scottish Children’s Book Illustrations

Wee_Lassie1 wee_lassie2 wee_lassie3 wee_lassie4 wee_lassie5Last week an advance copy of There Was a Wee Lassie Who Swallowed a Midgie arrived. The book is a Scottish take on the famous tale There Was an Old Woman Who Swallowed a Fly, written by Rebecca Colby and illustrated by myself. The concept for the book and illustrations were already in place, so it was a case of just enjoying making pictures – which is always a lovely task! I think my favourite pages are the ones with the portraits of each animal  . . . and I loved being let loose on endpapers! The book will be out in March this year.
