eca MFA illustration degree show 2012

Our degree show opened to the public this Saturday. Here are a few photos of my space, showing limited edition prints and the two children’s books I created, Soot and Follow that Sparrow. Soot is also being exhibited as a high commended entry in the 2012 Macmillan prize and can be seen at Foyles bookstore in London.

There are many wonderful things to see at the show, which runs until Monday 11 June. If you are in Edinburgh come along to see it, and make sure to stop by and visit illustration in Evolution House (4th floor).

  1. Congratulations Kate, your work looks beautiful! l love the use of material i.e..the wooden boxes, and you’ve used your space wisely with clear sections, each telling its own story 🙂
Reading your post vividly reminds me of my own ECA visual communication degree show, which took place way back in 1997!!! l surely appreciate the hours and hard work that goes into creating such a show. You surely deserve a top class degree!

    • Hi Elizabeth, it is lovely to hear from a past student! Many thanks for your kind words, I am delighted to have completed it. Now for the tricky part of life after the safety of college . . .
